  i've noticed on here lately a trend towards looking at the "sunny side" of otherwise unsavory historical figures.

  i thought i'd climb on that band wagon.. i love hannibal lecter.

  yes, i know he's a fictional character.

  ....spelling errors on the topic headers?.

  how much effort does it take to check your spelling before you post a topic??.

  just read over some of the topics up for discussion right now and you'll see a very shocking (to me, at least) disregard for accuracy.. if you can't trouble yourself to get your spelling right how are the rest of us going to respect the fact you have your reasoning right either??.

  If I get an idea for a topic to start, I'll sign on only to find that it's already been hashed out and then rehashed some more. Nothing original coming from me. Others can relate things very eloquently so my comments are simply space fillers. Now my graphics...they're cool. lol

  What sends you over the edge?

  there was a recent thread on spelling, sentence structure, etc., that was legitimate, but probably made other's feel stupid.. my question is, what is your personal pet peeve?.

  i've got a problem with poor construction inside my home...i hate the trim work, some cut too short so it looks like mouse holes over the floor.

  i had my kitchen redone and the layout was so unusual that i can't open a fridge door unless i pull it forward or push it back to open a drawer.

  It's funny, I didn't graduate high school and the sum of my English knowledge is that a noun is a person, place or thing. Nevertheless, I instinctively "know" when usage is correct and when I'm writing I try to make reasonable attempts to see that structure and spelling are correct for the intended purpose.
  
  There is this that bugs me though... I may not know much but at least I know the difference between NO and KNOW; THERE, THEIR and THEY'RE; YOU, YOUR and YOU'RE. It's really no big deal on forums and chat rooms 'cause you just tryin to git er done. But this type of thing is quite common even where it does matter.
  
  And yes, I'm well aware that the writers and English majors out there could rip me apart but hey, I'm uneducated and as far as I know, everything I typed is Oll Korrect.
